About:
On the night of March 9-10th, 1945, the air raid of Tokyo that was carried out by the US military resulted in 100,000 civilians being burned to death. Another 100,000 Japanese
civilians were left homeless. In that single raid 500,000 cylinders of napalm and petroleum
jelly dropped over Tokyo. Overall, 241,000 and 900,000 people were killed due to the carpet bombings. The March 9-10th bombings is still considered one of the most deadly bombings in history.
